A New Year, and New Goals

The New Year is here, and with it brings many new things for all of us. Matsubaya has the pleasure of owning land to settle it roots and build a place of our own. The land is still under construction, so it's not open to the public yet, but just wait and see. We have some lovely surprises awaiting everyone.

Yesterday marked the second time i'd been able to attend a kabuki play. The Picture Book of The Taiko. A historical play that had me smiling the entire way through. I really enjoyed being able to sit and watch with fellow Kagema, Ryo kun. It will be his lovely pictures that I am using to show scenes of this magical play. To the Shinmachi Kabuki troupe, good job!

Rebirth of the Pine.

Konba wa minna. Its been a very long time since I updated this blog.
After the grand Oiran festival (Chochin Matsuri) we all took a break. A much needed break. The cold weather brough with it the holidas and sickness. Thankfully everyon is back on their feet.
With the coming and going of the new year, our prayers have been said and its time to get back to work. The same can be said for us in the hanamachi as well. Within the next week or so Matsubaya will begin a new line of shows and put out a new schedule.  Look forward to seeing a oiran doch in the future, kabuki shows from our talented Kagema. The debut of a new Shinzo, and a few other surprises.

We hope you will all come to see us during this new year and support us as you always have.
